I saw a trailer for it the other day and was intrigued by how Final Fantasy-esque the movie seemed. Sure enough, I saw it and my suspicions were confirmed. Has anyone else seen it? Is it just me? Some of the subtleties and even obvious character appearances and roles are just too deliberate for me to dismiss it as coincidence.

#8 is Pyramid Head + Stay-Puft + Patrick from Spongebob.
I’d say Cloud, but P. Head is actually a good character.

I mean you have 7 with a bird mask and spear that clearly resembles a Dragoon. 8 is obviously the warrior with the huge sword. 5 is an Archer/Ranger sort of fellow with his gatling gun and one eye. 2 is an Engineer. They’re fighting to save Earth. And so on and so forth. Maybe I was just overreacting.
