Recently I was in another thread and we started talking about pronunciation of Final Fantasy names and such. One crazy elite poster said we should just change the threads name to "How do you pronounce your FF shit". So drop in some names from some of your favorite games and let us find out how everyone pronounces their FF shit.

With the exception of Tidus you don’t really need to tell us how you pronounce your FFX/X-2/XII characters’ names since you constantly hear them being said and it would be weird to habitually pronounce it differently.

Nah, always been Zid-dane for me. And I know neither of those are the way the World Cup headbutt guy pronounces it.

Neg

Neg (9:09:44 PM): I’m not sure if Krydawg is serious, but he’s bringing up your PSP constantly.
Jeff (9:11:50 PM): Well he better shoot his hopes down. This isn’t eBay and I don’t know/trust him nearly enough to pay me.
Jeff (9:12:23 PM): I’ve got no leverage. And asking him to trust me is just as asinine

End of this discussion. Back to the topic of the thread. Feel free to delete these posts after he’s had a chance to read this~

See-sill is how I say it. Isn’t that how you normally pronounce it?

Though I tend to associate the name Cecil more with Saw IV and that’s how it’s pronounced there… heh. Also in "Night at the Museum" it’s pronounced See-sill.

Also, Side show bobs brother (from the Simpsons) they pronounce it Seh-sill.
That is how I say it.

It’s pronounced both Seh-sill and See-sill in that episode- I just watched it 🙂
But it’s Chief Wiggum who calls him See-sill so *shrug*

I say Seh-sill

I hate almost all the Dissidia pronunciations.

Sea-Sill
Zih-Dane
Tie-duss
Fear-E-un (Actually, I think this is how they pronounce it too.)

Their pronunciation of Zidane (Zidawn) really bothers me.

"Zidawn, the roving thief, in search of his crystal." This entire line bugs the hell out of me for some reason.
