Any boss fight experiences you would like to share?

So yeah, I’m the kinda player who wants to find creative ways to finish off a boss in games, just because I simply think it looks awesome. <airhead talking>

One day, I played Kingdom Hearts II again from the beginning up till that point where you fought the Twilight Thorn. I got it’s HP down to 1, but I didn’t land a finishing move on it. It played that Reaction Command sequence for the final time, but after when Roxas throws that Keyblade at the boss and falls back to the ground, the boss lands on his head and is defeated, to my surprise. The head slam counted as a Finisher, while Roxas is still lying on the floor! I laughed so hard at that.

So to reiterate the question: Do any of you recall any interesting boss fight experiences that you would like to share? (Examples: Won the boss with 1HP with no items, miraculous victory in the end, seemingly good battle turned upside down, sudden stupid death by accident, etc.)

Finally a good thread idea. good post noob.

I unfortunately cannot think of any significant boss battles at the moment where I pulled something like that off.

I actually have one of these stories.

I can’t recall exactly which one, but it was in one of the Star Wars games, probably one of the Jedi Knight series. I was going into some important fight or other and there was a cutscene immediately before the fight, during which I got up to fetch a soda from the fridge. While I was doing that, a call came in and I had to fetch the phone before going back to my computer. When I finally went back to the game, the cutscene had long since ended and the fight was over. Shockingly, I had won. I guess the enemy must have thrown itself over a ledge or something.

I was playing RE4 on my friend’s Wii. I had very low ammo and was fighting Krauser for the final time (when he had his new arm). Well, I ended up running out of ammo FOR EVERY GUN I HAD! The fact that I had low health and no more herbs or anything made it seem I was going to lose for sure. So like any man out of ammo for his guns, I busted out my knife. I started slashing like crazy (you can "wiggle" the Wiimote to have Leon use his knife). After about 5 slashes, I beat Krauser. It was pretty cool.

Another RE moment:

Playing RE:CVX, and I had gotten to the final battle against Alexia. Whomped her ‘mound-o-flesh’ form, and grabbed the linear launcher, thinking to myself, "And this is where I’m gonna run out of time", as I’ve gotten to this same point numerous times, and either run out of health or time(since I can’t seem to quite get the hang of using that weapon).

Load it up, run around, and as soon as she spits, I dodge, aim, fire…and after having swerved out of its path, she swooped right back into it. Game Over, I win. I literally fell out of my chair at that point.

Final Fantasy IV on the SNES… stupid non-metal cave. Get to the dark elf. And forgot to reequip my good armor after Edgar starts playing the music. I have (the mage T-whatever) cast something but I made a mistake and casted "Weak". Cecil attacked, he died O.o What?

The Knife is Krauser’s main weakness, IDX.

One of my friends was playing Prototype and while trying to raid a military base, he was surrounded by super soldiers. Well, his T.V. gave out so we rushed to hook up another one to his 360. Surprisingly, he was still alive and some of the super soldiers had even somehow killed themselves. Not sure if that can be classified as a boss battle, though…

Couldn’t he have just pressed pause?

We didn’t think about it. We were too busy panicking and trying to get the other T.V. into his room. XD

w00t!? Hmmm. I should try it out for myself… ack!! I’m going to have to start the game over from the very beginning. I accidently deleted my file off my Wii.
