I think the change is due to the now horribly cliched way of turning Abbreviations into words!

I read that some people have taken to pronouncing it "Siffy." Personally, I just don’t care. If they want to call it that, whatever. They will succeed or fail by whether their programming continues to be stuff that people want to watch.
