Dumbest character in the vidya?

Okay people…on impulse, I’m doing a little bit of research and getting sample audience feedback. What I would like is some discussion about the dumbest video game character you’ve seen/played. I need to know who, what game, and what they did that made you facepalm(mutterings of "I can’t believe you just did/said that!" not necessary).

Obviously, this is going to have spoilers galore, so I would advise caution when perusing this topic!

I’ll start us off, like a good topic starter(lol):

First nomination goes to Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3. After all the crazy stuff that had happened, she should have at least SUSPECTED that Silent Hill might not have answers she wanted…that being the case, "I’m going to Silent Hill." was not the best plan in the books at that point.

Next up, we have Eirika from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Now, if I ever wonder just how dumb someone can get, I can always look at her: she takes one of the last rays of hope her world has, chases alone after a friend who is obviously not in his right mind(at the very LEAST!) and hands it to him…and then she has the nerve to act surprised when he destroys it. Yeah…the brains of the family obviously went to Ephraim.

I’m intrigued to see who else gets nominated…I’ve heard rumors of some characters, but most of them I’ve never played the games for. Therefore, I’m counting on your help, shriners!:)

the main character in X-Blades. she was just told this relic was deadly to humans, and still she jumps and grabs it. no swapping in case it was trapped, poking it with something, or anything like that. she just grabs it.
that’s the only stupidity i can think of lately off the top of my head.

Right now, I can only think of the time when Selphie from FFVIII jumped off the cliff. My reaction was the same as Zell’s when you walk up to the edge with Squall. "Hey, man, that’s a friggin cliff!"

I was like….fuck that shit.

i think james from sh 2 is more stupid.
he mistakes "3 years to live" for "died 3 years ago".

I definitely know a few from the games I played, but I have to go through my games to find them. Though there are some characters that I know in video games that act dumb but they are like that because they are double agents.
