(I hope this is the right place to post this…)

Has anybody else noticed the blue…"bubbles" near Centra ruins? There is an Demi/Antima draw point on them…

(seems like this map is copyright of…both Square for creating FFVIII and GalbadiaX.com, I didn’t make it. Except the red circle ahaha)

So uhm…what do you think? Are they part of some kind of..side quest? I’ve never read about them anywhere, like I’m the only one who find them funny 😀 (also, mine is a PAL European copy, but I guess every copy has them?)

Honestly, since theirs a draw point their and thats all there is their. Then i can dismiss this as a mineral deposit and move on. I don’t think anyone even cares about those blue crystals in the earth.

Since there’s a DP there i assume the bubbles are there to attract you to its presence.

Oh, thank you for replying 🙂
but uuuhm…what? how could you not care? 😀 they look funny! bright blue…bubbles…in the midst of nowhere! It’s weird! There must be a reason. And I don’t think it has got anything to do with the drawpoint :\ else, every drawpoint would have something to attract attention. Plus, this isn’t a really interesting drawpoint anyway…I mean, if it was a Ultima DP, ok…but a Demi? meh :\

I was thinking about the shoooooocking blue place you visit as Laguna somewhere in the second CD. The Lunatic Pandora if I’m not mistaken. It was veeeeery blue, and it was near Centra, right? Or it may just be a coincidence…mmh.

I was also thinking that in the Menu, under the Help section, and then…you know, all those sub-section about places and people, I don’t have all of the stuff listed. I mean, the list I have is incomplete. But I have finished the game…maybe there is something about the blue stuff and I missed it? D:

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be the excavation site that Laguna goes to, yeah.

na, i disagree, laguna falls into the ocean, then ends up washing ashore beside the village and healing their, i honestly dont think so. he’d die in the ocean if he was left afloat all those days.

I asked the same question here (Thread 64864). Have not had chance to re-read the thread, but I am quite sure that someone responded to the question with a sensible answer.

From Jarosik’s thread:

The blue spots mark the excavation site for Lunatic Pandora material, remember the bit with laguna? That was when it was still underground.

Later on in the game, it has been moved into the shell and is mobile, yet the empty site in centra remains, hence, blue spots

Wow thank you, arthurgolden…so that’s what they are…I think the game should have made it clearer…or maybe I am just stupid enough not to understand that 😀 thank you so much for telling me!

Also, I am sorry I didn’t notice there was already a thread about this…I’m sorry!

No need to apologise. Had that not have been my own thread, I would not have found it either. Cheers Arthur for finding the relevant quote.
