its because its a private release. it doesnt get mass produced like a U2 album. so production costs are going to be high. with more support, artists like them can make more music and perhaps sell them cheaper. i appreciate the price point though. i never buy cds ever, but this album made an exception. i wanted to help support these guys like VGL too, continue the good work.
i dont use flac in my collection so this was the first time i’ve ripped it to that format. let me know if its a good rip or not.
Does it include a cue sheet?
no. the sleeve is all in german. its got photos and interviews and forwards. i scanned them all myself and included them with both the mp3 and flac zips.
All you have to do to make a cue sheet is open up EAC with the disc in the drive, go Action > Detect Gaps; then Action > Create Cue Sheet > Multiple wavs with gaps (noncompliant). Then save it and upload it. It will be a really tiny file. The important part is the gaps between files, not the file names.
EDIT: Of course if you don’t want to make a CUE file that is perfectly fine. The only reason it matters is for people who want to burn from the FLAC files to a CD it will have the correct gaps between the files instead of a basic 2 seconds between each song.
