Spoiler: about any talk about Aeris
Let me put this out there, Aeris should stay dead. Her death has too significant of an impact in the storyline for that to change, especially in AC. So lets leave any possibility of her revival out of this.
Please no talking about how FF7 is the best and how much you think they should have remake or vice versa. This is just a rant about what you think would make a game like this better if it were to have a remake.
So what additions do you think would make this game better in the event of a remake? (Gameplay, battle system, mini-games, sidequests etc…)
And if this thread has any chance of staying open no fanboyish comments, please and thank you
However, if they do decide to make a remake, they should really emphasis on improving the battle system/materia system. It was amazing back then but nowadays, it’s just outdated.
Also, one thing that did bother me about FFVII was the side-quest/story revolving around the past between Zack and Cloud. They should implement that into the main story considering how important it is to the plot and how it answers all the questions revolving around the incident behind Cloud, Zack and Shinra.
As for the Zack and Cloud back story, that has already been covered completely in FFVII: Crisis Core, so there is no reason to add anything more. Really, if you’re curious about it, get yourself a PSP and FFVII:CC and play it yourself.

If square enix wanted to they could go with this story. Keep an open mind on it though……
Right we all know that chaos can revive a dead person or someone close to death, we also know chaos returned to the planet at the end of dirge of cerberus……or so they said.
Now going to omega, Omega’s purpose was to gather all of the lifestream and go to another planet and start again, ALL of the lifestream was gathered, including the leftover stigma, mostly all pure blooded people without jenova cells were killed to bring about omega.
Now when omega was killed, the lifestream returned to the planet, and with it the stigma all in one place, with genesis being in the immediate area, their was also the presence of the last remaining ACTIVE jenova cells.
Sounds like cause for a reunion to me.
Not to mention, most of the story could be just like FF7, chasing down the reminants, but this time to stop sephiroth getting to the last remaining stigma victims before he kills them and regains his entire power.
(Kadaj was only 10% sephiroth, those that deny me, think about it yazoo and loz still had stigma, what if they too got jenova cells, thats just 3 VERY POWERFUL but weaker versions of a TRUE sephiroth)
And like rufus said, and its been mentioned various times throughout FF7 too, jenova will continue to reform, the reunions will keep happening as long as the cells remain, Sephiroth is the exact same as jenova, theres no degredation but he can reform even if he cant split off like angeal.
fact is, the end of omega, might be the beginning of sephiroth again if you look at it from that angle, sequels have been made over alot less than what i just put forward to you.
Drekast….
i suppose, but you can only thread out a game like this so much before it becomes a bit pointless.
Drekastt
It became even more pointless when u compare the technological advancements in ff7, to the ones seen in dirge of cerberus.
In the end you can only hope that the next sequel closely resembles the original but doesn’t have you chasing Jenova or Aerith around.
Also, both Cloud and Sephiroth die, making everyone happy.
Until i see a sequel being made, that doesn’t look like a cheap rip off of devil may cry, or a movie that later gets made into the length a movie is SUPPOSED to be, then i don’t think anyone should talk about sequels at all.
My above point is still one of the best reasons I’ve heard for a sequel to this game being released.
