It’s been a long while since I’ve seen the movie. I gotta rent it sometime.

Have to admit I hated this movie when I first saw it, animation had a long way to catch up to Western standards (oh how times change) and story was pretty silly, even for a video game based movie lol.
Still the Complete version of this movie does more than boost it up to 1080p, it actually touches up the animation making it more lifelike, and restores a bunch of deleted scenes making the movie fit together a lot better. As it stands now FFVII: ACC is my personal favorite game based movie ever. Not saying much considering the competition but whatever >.>; haha

You have to either have a Japanese credit card or buy an iTunes gift card from somewhere like jlist.com

I agree…I’d much rather have an actual CD than a low quality exclusive download from iTunes. Though this was converted to mp3 from m4p…

The cutoffs at the beginning of songs have already been mentioned to me…there’s not really anything that can be done since they were like that on iTunes. Sorry… 🙁

Pretty much anything Pixar.

You can’t compare the two, one was done with a budget of roughly 10 million with a smaller staff while the other was backed by Disney money and a much larger staff.

AC is a great movie for the budget it was on (it’s far from perfect), considering that it wasn’t even suppose to BE a movie in the first place. Just sayin.

It has nothing to do with Western/Japanese standards, it has to do with money, time and man power…the way 3D animated films are produced, the time it takes, the budget and result and which ones actually have quality are different things altogether. 3D animation film isn’t easy work, especially if you have a small in house studio working on it (Yes, I know it’s SE but they disbanded Square Pictures after the epic failing of TSW)….the AC movie was a labor of love.

Sorry for the long post…animation major speaking LOL! I’ve just been in this comparison discussion for years and I don’t know why people compare the movies. They’re not even in the same league of animation….it’s like comparing the cartoon Avatar the Last Airbender to a Miyazaki film, I guarantee if you gave the budget and man power of Pixar to AC…:mind blown:

I heard it too XD Though for me, the biggest change would be the One Winged Angel one… I’m not really fond of the new mix since… I’m not sure. The original one was in your face idea and this one… I’m pretty sure you heard the original one winged angel theme in there… if you play/heard Dissidia, it’s there too. Though if I actually saw the movie then the small rendering to the song might not bother me o_O;; This is Nobuo Uematsu and Takeru Ishimoto working here. LOL, you can tell who composed what parts XD

I download the whole album but it was somehow different. In terms of music quality. Though, the 256 kbps doesn’t seem to be to different from my 320kbps original AC soundtrack. But I could hear the differences clearly.

I heard the preview from the Japanese iTunes store, and it was actually sounded better than my originial AC soundtrack. If the release is from the Jap iTunes. It should be the same.. But after I download it, it was far inferior.

Just letting everyone know. Hope you can correct it somehow. coz I wanna hear the 320 kbps one…

the scene where they used "anxious heart was only a short scene, when cloud and tifa are unconscious in the church, the replaced the original track with the 30 second anxious heart, if you want to hear the full version, download the ff7 OST

Actually, i used wavepad to link together FFACC with FFVII original "Anxious heart", and by the way, with the speed of crisis cores version, its impossible to almost seemlessly do it with that version.
Can i just say though, does anyone else have that problem with chase of the highway, where it misses the first second but the rest is fine? i’d have loved to put that into my soundpack, but that would annoy the hell out of me.

I combined Tifas theme extended from ACC and Tifas piano theme from FFAC.
Though maybe i shouldve done ACC and Orchestrated Tifa…..i’ll look into it.

Well this is amazing. I just finished watching the movie and it felt a lot more different than the first version. I don’t know why would they waited until now to release the actual "Complete" movie (marketing, I guess?) but it was indeed a fitting title.

Every rework was just superb, specially the story-related ones. Now it has practically no loose ends as it gets way more logical but still with the fantasy touch we’ve come to like so. Oh, and also, lotsa blood xD

And it all gets even better with the OSTs. Thank you so much for sharing with us who would wait almost forever to see an official release of anything like this =D
