Hitoshi Sakimoto’s score for Gradius V is amazing but I can’t find anything close to it.
Can someone recommend a soundtrack in this genre that can match this?

Gradius Gaiden, G-Darius, Under Defeat, Border Down… those all have amazing soundtracks, though the former two are a bit closer to Gradius V than the latter.

Actually, none of those soundtracks sherlock mentions even touch Gradius V.. Sakimoto is on a level all his own. http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/709

Indeed. The soundtrack from RADIANT SILVERGUN is freat, and actually better than Gradius V. But unfortunately, the tracks :
17. Return
18. Debris
19. Reminiscence
20. Ruin
21. Evasion
22. Penta
23. Space Battle Ship 130 33KI
that belongs to the original version, are not to long. It only have one loop.
I wanted to rip the soundtrack from the game, but i wasn’t able to do it.
Another good soundtrack from Sakimoto is FINAL FANTASY XII’s soundtrack.

Eh, G-Darius is pretty darn close.
