All I know about this track is its filename "drive" which started me thinking it might belong to a video game but the more I listen to it the less sure I am.

It’s been languishing in my music folder for years and years and I don’t even remember where it came from.

Anyway I figured you guys would be the best folks to ask…

Does anyone recognise it?

It’s a nice composition, but I don’t recognize it from any game OSTs I’ve heard. First impression I get is that it may be ‘home made’ (ie made in CakeWalk Midi Maker type of song). Though if I were to think of it as a game song, it sounds like an end credits theme to an old cart or early disc based game (along the lines of Snatcher).

I think that might be right. I’ve tried looking at all "famous" groups that had a track called "drive" and they were nowhere close.

If it were a homebrew thing it would explain the lack of any media info built into the track.

Thanks very much for your time!!!

Sorry guys! I had a re-organise of my site and forgot that this was linked-to.

Here, try this. It was on the playlist on my phone just the other day.

I’m still puzzled by what it is, lol. What the internet needs is a waveform-matching search.

It’s a good song, but I really do not recognize where it’s from. Sounds like an 80s movie.

it already does. it’s called tunatic. and the one i use more often is imeem. upload the song and than view it’s duplicates info.

unfortunatley imeem has just been brought by myspace. so sorry i can’t help this time.

Thanks for the info guys! I had a crack at Tunatic already – it couldn’t recognise it but then again it didn’t know the Windows XP setup music either. Bryan Adams (don’t ask) it knew right away though. So the track mustn’t be from a signed artist I’m guessing.
