Balamb Liberation issue

Hey, I am on disc 2 of FF8 and I am at the point where I am at balamb and I have to find the captain. Well, I guess I did something wrong because now all the guards do at the train is lay there still saying "….." when I talk to them and the Dinchts house isn’t filled with the smell anymore so the dog won’t chase after the captain. What do I do here?

One of my least favourite parts of the game.

My method is flawless.

Well we know they in the balamb hotel, i know u have to go to zells room, then u release dog (maybe not in that order) then u do the fish, then he runs off to train station. Mostly when it comes to FF games, just visit everywhere and talk to everyone and the game will progress anyways.

Except if you do that during the SeeD exam, you lose a bunch of points.

Hehehe now that i think about it…first time i played this it took me a long time to figure out what to do and it was kinda frustrating. I guess thats what pisses me off evertime i go through it.

I actually died lots of times during my first playthrough on the boss fight with both Raijin and Fujin together. I was such a noob at that time! Haha. But, by the time I finished, I had all level 100 party (from leveling up on Islands of Heaven and Hell), and I killed Omega Weapon. And the final boss fight was just a minor obstacle.

hello i am a complete noob and have a question regarding the galbaldian garden where the hell does it go if you didnt fight it on the second disk after the captain and comander bit in balamb please help i have no idea what to do?!?! aaagh and if its in centra where is that???

Just go to the west end of the southernmost continent on the map. You should find Galbadia Garden there, assuming you’ve done the Trabia Garden section.

if you’ve seen it before, the smell thing, then the dog should take you to the train station. check there? also, there is a guy behind a truck who will show you exactly where it is for some money.
