Saaaaaara: No, you can’t choose the KK songs you want to request from a list. You can ask him to play whatever he wants, in which case he’ll play a random song, or if you do know the exact title of a song you can request it. Some "secret" songs will never come up on random, you have to request them. And there’s no way to know the list of KK songs in-game, so you’ll have to stick to internet-searching.
(I’ve only played the GC and DS version, but I assume the Wii version works the same way.)
