The Best of Video Game Music : Volume 1

These 15 tracks represent some of the best examples video game music ever produced and they are now yours to listen to and enjoy, some of you may say there are some that should be here that have not been included and thats where you come in. As you can see this is called ‘Volume 1’ so I plan on making a second compilation, If any of you out there have any suggestions for tracks that you would like to see in the second volume then please drop me a comment and let me know, the more people suggest the better the next compilation will be.

Included in both zip folders are the covers you see below so if you need album art to go on your ipod then here it is and below the cover is the track list so you can see the playing order of what i have included in volume 1.

That’s why I named it ‘Nanahra1983 Presents The Best of Video Game Music : Volume 1’ so the title would be different, which it is, and is also why I included the album artwork so people could see what it was and what tracks were on it so not to confuse it with anything else.

Okay, fair enough.

No Zelda and No Mario Galaxy would make this list an epic fail, but I guess it’s an alright selection of music. But come on, aeriths theme instead of Gusty Garden Galaxy?

Thats why its volume 1 and why I’m asking for suggestions for volume 2, so I’ll take those two as suggestions. I know what you mean though.

Haven’t heard some of these yet, looking forward to it.

If you want suggestions, might I suggest something from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, maybe the Cipher Admin or the Final Battle. Or anything from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire This music is way too underrated.

Waiting for this volume 2

First of all thank you for the hearing experience. 🙂
I got a fetish on compilations, especially when they’re done right. That’s why ‘thematic’ compilations usually work better. They can be original and there’s more specific and objective goal to them. While in the ‘best of’ albums, there’s thousands out there, so it’s hard to make a difference. And certainly it’s too early to tell from the first volume…

Of course I enjoy most of the tracks and I can certainly offer recommendations, but for the moment let’s get on with my other fetish, which is proper tagging. I spent the last couple of hours trying to identify the tracks and searching the web… I almost gave up until I realized you’ve picked quite a few tracks from the Video Games Live compilation. I wonder why you changed so many of the titles though. I did my best for a correct playlist, except the two Uematsu tracks, I’m not sure from which live concerts they are, so I left the titles untouched as ‘live’. Oh, well it’s late…
