I hope I’m not the only one that thinks Shinra was pretty underrated as a villain. It’s a pity he only gets like 10 minutes screen time because I think he’d have made a better bad guy than either Rufus, or Sephiroth or Hojo.

Just the fact he demolishes an entire sector of his city just to make a buck puts him above the rest.

I’ve often thought he should have been developed more. I mean, they could at least have given him a proper name. As it is he’s so blatantly just inserted as a mobile plot twist that you were sort of expecting it to begin with.

And I expected Shinra to be one of the main villains when I first played the game. Shame they had to go and kill him off so quickly. He had the best ‘evil guy’ demeanor too.
