if you don’t believe in a religion, why waste so much time talking about it?

I guess people feel some need to "combat" what they see as the more…damaging attributes of it? Same deal when people bitch about anything they don’t like, I guess.

I liked the film. It didn’t do much other than say "haha these people believe silly things" but I still got some laughs.

Perhaps since the actual purpose of atheism is to attempt to disprove religion.

Yeah; I’m just saying it’s a lot of effort. Why try and disprove something when people brought up in a religion are pretty much unwavering and aren’t going to change their minds no matter what proof you have?

I didn’t mean to hijack this thread, I apologize. I just *personally* think it’s a waste of time. Nothing against any of you, xoxo.

That totally goes against my statement that people argue because of a conflict of ideals!

I am disregarding the sarcasm here.

Yeah, I think these particular arguments often just sort of drive people into their pre-existing beliefs more so than before. I’M RIGHT, ARGH STFUU

I guess there’s a *small* percent of people that might…change over though.

"Sheeple" give me more than enough ammunition on a daily basis without having to watch a movie I have no interest in whatsoever.

Yeah; and the same goes for street witnessing to. God knows how many people ‘get saved’ just to get mormons off their back.

The things they do affect the opinions of other people, and the world we share. The fact that some people are unreasonable about some issue doesn’t mean you should avoid talking about the issue altogether! Nor does it mean that everyones unreasonable.

Religulous was funny enough. Pretty shallow.
