Hello, this is my first post and i will explain how to gain a lot of experience very easily with this method which was also recorded and its on youtube

Firstly you need the ability of diablos that let you transform time and space magic with items. Go to the training center and figth hard with some T rex until you have some Dino bones. With diablos ability which i previously mentioned you can transform those dino bones into 20 quake. This powerful magic may upgrade your stats much higher to the limit. You can try junctioning 100 quakes with squal’s strength and you will cause 1000 of damage with a single strike of your sword. Plus, if you have the ifrits mad rush ability which gives you berserk, protect and haste to all your party members, using this ability combined with powerful strength gained with the quake magic you will defeat those t rex in a matter of seconds. Or if you have shiva`s doom ability you can use it against those t rex and it will have a deathly effect on them.

Well, if you didnt know this already i hope it helped you. Thanks

Gaining XP in FF8 is for dumbasses.

YOUR FACE is for dumbasses

But yeah any "easy experience" strategy involving junctioning is a waste of time when there is Degenerator, which, mind you, can be acquired even earlier than Disc 2.

Quistis’s Limit Break. Learn it with the Black Hole item which you can get from Gespers during the second Laguna sequence in the Lunatic Pandora. Or you can get it even earlier by learning Quetzalcoatl’s Card Mod, on Gesper cards which are VERY easy to come by, from the beginning Balamb Garden is already swarming with them, it’s a level 1 card.

Just use that skill on everything, makes the game a joke.

But they have a point, Private– there really isn’t much point in gaining lots of EXP. You would do better to familiarize yourself with how to make the most of the game’s junction system. And yeah, as Zak says, Degenerator can be acquired easily from Card Mod– Card Mod is your friend, as is the card game in general– it’s the best way to get lots of goodies.

and now that im playing it again i would like to know the secrets i hadnt notice.
Here’s two of the best things to try out:

1. During the Missile Base sequence, completely screw everything up and then don’t go back to make the adjustments on the computer. (Save before doing this though, as it will result ultimately in a Game Over.)

2. During the FH concert sequence, when you control Irvine and he’s selecting the instruments, you can leave the area and visit both Balamb Garden and Fisherman’s Horizon in general as the Irvine character.

Lol, the more i read these pages the more i get disapointed with how easy this game looks to me now, though its still one of my favourite ff game. Thanks for your help, and im gonna try those tips too agent

Edit:

I ve realised i already had that quezacoalt ability card mod, and i got the degenerator ability. I cant understand how could the developers let us get those limit breaks and abilities so early in the game, i mean its stupid and i ve read also about that limit "The end" of selfy. Does this happen to you in other ff games?? Thanks

Cool. Here’s one more fun one– revisit Dollet any time after the Timber mission and try to sneak back into the mountain path area for a hilarious sequence.

Yeah, VIII is weird that way, but FF games, at least the latter ones anyway, aren’t exactly known for their difficulty. It’s possible to beat X without ever touching a node on that game’s "Sphere Grid."

Oh, BTW, don’t bother with Degenerator on bosses– won’t work on them.

I hope you’re not counting XII.

Well, to some degree, no, I suppose not, but it’s not like there aren’t ways to manipulate XII too…

Zak

That is true, but every individual thing must be manipulated in it’s own way and it’s own individual pre-req’s.
