Flower Sun and Rain PS2 and NDS full rips and Shine (LQ)

I think this board has a few Masafumi Takada fans so here are a few goodies.

First is a rip I did of Flower, Sun and Rain PS2. If you have the rips Spellbreaker posted some time ago and Water, this is more or less the same though this rip has all tracks ordered and looped (for the tracks that do) and includes a couple of tracks not found elsewhere (like Morishima’s theme).
As an extra bonus I’ve also added the ambience tracks that were with the sound files.

Next is a line-in recording of the NDS port. The DS versions of the songs are pretty crappy, but at least now you can have a complete FSR music collection (lulz). At least this port has 3 new tracks.

More info in the readme thingie included with the rips. Btw, as far as I know the cool intro from Crescent doesn’t actually play in the PS2 version (I checked online vids).

Oh, and yeah, the cool intro doesn’t play in the PS2 version of "Crescent [blue moon mix]", that’s why I added it to the version on my rip. The intro does play in the Nintendo DS version, though.

OK, the version of "Deep shot of midnight sun" is almost identical to the one from my rip, but with an extended ending that’s just the beginning of the second half looped again.

But the intro for the Crescent song is so much better than the one I spliced in from the DS version! I wish someone had high quality versions of these songs.

Oh, and thanks for including Tokio’s theme. How did you get it? I couldn’t find it anywhere in the PS2 files, and had to settle for the one I ripped from the DS.

Ok I’ll try to upload Blood+ soon. Not exactly Takada’s best, but there is a few D&B-esque tracks there worth checking.

I agree about the Crescent intro, what a pity we don’t have a better rip. It really adds to the song. At least only Crescent, Deep shot and KATH #1 (it has a different ending) are different, so the rips are good enough for the rest.

Tokio’s theme is sequenced (basically stored as midi+samples) so it takes some fiddling with the files to get it. Actually it was a PS1 midi, so they most likely copypasted the track from The Silver Case.

Btw Spellbreaker, I’ve seen in vgmdb you have "The virgin child" single from NMH and Samurai Champloo Rhythm Tracks, do you think you could upload them? I’m really dying to hear the 20min version of 100 stars DX.

I’d love a re-upload of the ds soundtrack. I personally think it’s utterly superior to the one on the ps, and this seems like the only place I’m going to find it.

the game’s only for the DS. the ps2 version was only made in japan accordin to the wikipedia.

Also. On the mention of Takada… Happen to have a full copy of Contact (NDS)’s OST? Mine is messy and for some reason seems to have some beta versions of the tracks, to best of my knowledge. That’s probably my favorite OST by him, so I’d totally kill to have a good copy of it.
