I spent three days making the mandalas for the Aeons in FFX in Photoshop. I know that there are some inconsistancies between my versions and in the game, but all I had to work with was some Baaj Temple screenshots, so I think I did pretty well.

If someone could get me a good screenshot of the Remiem Temple doors or the beginning summoning of the Magus Sisters, I can make thier mandalas as well.

I know it’s been a couple of years since I posted these, but I figured that replying to this topic would be better than creating an entirely new one. I was able to find a lovely reference image and with the help of a friend of mine, I was able to create the updated and much more complete versions of the mandalas (which I call summoning circles now). This time, I was able to make Yojimbo’s circle and the Magus Sisters’ circles as well.

Tell me what you think. 🙂

These are pretty cool! I like the newer ones especially. I might use your Ixion as the background for my msn messenger chat screen backgrounds.

Thanks. I’ve been trying to make these for several years and these are my newest circles. I think the only way I can make them better is if I get ahold of the original images, if indeed they do exist somewhere.

Awesome!
You can really see the difference in the newer ones. <3

Yeah. I made the newer ones with a reference image which I believe was taken from an art book. If I could find the original seals in full detail that would be awesome. If not, then I’ll be content with the ones I made. The older ones were made just by eye-balling the scene where the seals light up in the Baaj Temple; which were small and not very detailed. Not to mention that at least a third of each seal was obstructed by its statue. if you look at Bahamut’s seal at the Baaj Temple and the seal that appears during his summoning, there’s a vast difference in detail. Also, I noticed that Zaon’s seal is very different in the Baaj temple than it does in my newest rendition. I’m not sure why that is since the reference image I used seems to have the original seals on it. But it makes little difference to me since I like the newer one much better. 🙂
