Reality Shows: Good or Bad?

Personally, I can’t stand reality shows. Most of the ones I’ve seen are so fake. but I want to see what you guys think.

Depends, back in the day when Real World and Road Rules were really the only reality shows on TV, it was kind of good. Anymore reality is so far from that, and how many "Rock of Love" spin-offs do we need?

I can’t stand them, big brother and the like are a load of balls.

Most of them are just shows with 5 guys all trying to go for the same girl like that one with the girl who’s name was New York or something. The Flava Flave one is also horrible.

I can tolerate Tila Tequila tho. She’s a hot Asian girl, and her music is pretty good…

I usually don’t watch MTV that much. The only show that I watch on that channel is Jackass, sometimes Viva la Bam, and Wild Boyz. I was watching Jackass and this commercial came up for this show called "Bromance" – Probably the dumbest show I’ve ever heard of.

They had to book gigs and sell merch in each city. Soulcracker played dirty at the end, but I still love them anyway. Flickerstick never sold much merch but always won second chances at the battle of the bands.

I have all their cds, except Harlow’s.

Yes I think I remember that one, it was either on VH-1 or MTV and it had that awesome punk chick with the black hair (or am I thinking of the Ozzfest one?)

That was probably something else with the girl. But yeah, it was Vh1

The only thing real about Reality Shows is the stupidity involved.

it depends on the reality show. i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE antm and i’ll be honest, i love anything that New York is in, and i love the charm school shows. but other than that, i don’t think i really like….oh, and the real world/road rules challenges.

I liked Road Rules Islands and Northern Trail.

Worst form of TV ever to come of creation. But some people like them, some of the shows are more intelligent than others, ill give it that, but I can’t stand watching an hour of people doing things, and then people being interviewed about it constantly, bout puts me to sleep.

They are very horrible, so horrible that I can’t look away once I watch more than ten minutes of one episode.

Reality TV Shows provide me with temporary amusement, until the Season ends. Once you start to develop a liking for certain characters, you will want to watch it all of the way until the end to see how that or those character(s) ends up.

the only ones I like are cooking shows, like Top Chef.

Most reality TV shows are not for me. I hate watching them

Hmm, hard for me to really vote any of those options as my thoughts don’t quite fit any of them. While I do think most of the reality shows I’ve seen are pretty pointless, I’ve watched a couple that I wouldn’t actually term as being poor – such as for example ‘Hells Kitchen’ (though it doesn’t really capture my interest), although with a show like ‘Katie and Peter’ I’d think somewhat differently.

Still, have to say that in general I don’t have much time for reality tv shows. Occasionally I’ll sit through one for a cheap laugh, but it doesn’t happen often!
