I’ve been hearing reports, albeit from questionable sources, that Maddie Blaustein died today, but I’m still not sure whether to call shenanigans on it.
For those who don’t know, Maddie is the former voice of Meowth, until PUSA took over the show and everyone was horribly recasted. She was also involved in a lot of drama both with the company, and on internet forums, back during the era when everyone was being replaced.
I’m not on top of Pokemon as much as I used to be, and I haven’t found an article stating this yet, supposedly it has just been ‘leaked’ today. Serebii seems to believe it (as it has been posted there), but since some of you guys seem to be on top of the Poke’s, I ask, has anyone heard this rumor?
Well, if it is true then RIP. I mean I wasn’t exactly fond of her (I was somewhat involved in the forum drama) but she was great as Meowth.
If this is a hoax then… well, shame on whoever’s idea this was.

It has happened before. Believe me, I’m a Serebii vet, I used to do some of their episode guides.
Of course they never intentionally spread rumors (god forbid), just sometimes there are mistakes. Just like on every site. Usually these mistakes are the result of being fooled by a hoax.
But it seems this is true, it’s official now, it’s on the 4kids site. So, RIP.
