Does anyone know how long it will take to get the mp3’s avaliable again? Lol I really want the Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion soundtrack and when I try to download the link, it saves just as an HTML document, and not an mp3 file…. I dunno… I have always been able to download music in the past…

Here’s a temporary fix. The reason the mp3’s won’t download is that the url for the link is incomplete. Here’s what to do.

1. CTRL+click or mouse-wheel click the link to get it in a new tab in your browser.
2. Go back ot the download page and copy the mp3 name (in my case it was 213-[hyper_rock’n’roll]_april_fool’s_song.mp3).
3. Replace the mp3 section of the broken url and place the fixed url into the address bar of your browser.
4. Press ENTER and a Save as… window should pop up.

It worked for me. I hope this helps.

From there, though, how do you download the song?

Explain your problem in more than a couple words, please. I have no idea what your problem is.

Okay, once you fix the url, how do you "save target as", or save the file?

Red Arremer

Since you have no possibility in right-clicking a link, you have to change your browser’s file management. Instead of "Open [filetype] in Browser", you have to set it to "Download to Desktop" or something. I don’t know what browser you’re using, so I can’t tell you exactly where it is, but it should be in each browser’s options.

I’m just using a standard Windows browser.

You mean Internet Explorer?

Yup. I’ve gotta run soon, but if you could somehow leave me directions here, I’ll check back ASAP. Thanks so much!

Blergh… I have that stupid JavaScript error on IE, so I can’t really help you on that one.
Except: Get Firefox. <_<

Greatgonzales

Well, 1. I agree. 2. Is there any way to do it with IE?

They way I meant to explain (but didn’t elaborate, sorry) is to put the fixed url into your address bar and then hit enter. A download window should pop up.

Hmm… I didn’t try this, but, wouldn’t that just open Windows Media Player?

Nope. At least, it didn’t when I tried it. You’re essentially doing the same thing that clicking on the download link does (except in a longer, more roundabout way).

Hmm… All it’s doing for me is loading WMP every time…

Since I figure this is better place to post my problems with GH than creating a new topic, I’d like to submit a problem of my own.

I can’t seem to access the site without it crashing Firefox. It used to be just the front page that would do this, but very recently its been the soundtracks page too. It thought it might have to do with having Adblock Plus running, but turning that off doesn’t do anything.
