Actually there was a commercial release. It contained 5 tracks which was all the new music composed for the game.

Allied Assault was developed by 2015. Core people in that team such as Jason West later formed Infinity Ward, which has been developing Call of Duty franchise. Except for Call of Duty 3 and upcoming Call of Duty 5 World at War.
