Help me decide where to spend my Wii points.

Currently, I have 500. I won’t be able to add anymore until the end of the month. So instead of letting them sit there, I’m thinking of purchasing a cheap game. But, I can’t decide which.

Current choices are:
Defend your Castle
Super Mario Bros. 3
Legend of Zelda
Double Dragon
Punch-Out

Zelda, but I’m clearly biased.

I dunno, Punch-Out! is tons of fun, too. Zelda, Punch-Out!, and Mario would be my picks.

well, for starters, megaman 9 doesnt exist.
as it doesnt exist, it is not on ps2, xbox or ngc.

that one is for the super famicom (jp only)

defend the castle: unkown to me, discarded first

super mario bros 3: ah, a nice choice stranga!, truly one of the best if not THE best mario game to be created. saved

legend of zelda 3: another great choice! my personal favorite zelda, this is a must have for any zelda fan or those who want a challenge! saved

double dragon: not a big fan of beat em ups myself, and this one is no exception, and since its a beat em up, you have to beat it in one go (im aware of the save function of the wii, but thats for gay niggers) unless you plan to sit tight for many hours, i do not recomment to invest points in this. discarded.

MYKE TYS… I MEAN, mr. dream’s PUNCH OUT! a classic of the boxing genre, the original NES game was called myke tyson’s punch out!, because it was none other than balrog… i mean, myke tyson the final boxer of the game.
due to mr T’ S (no, not him, Tyson) declining reputation after he got a taste for ears, the sequel featured mr dream, who looked just like myke tyson.

the difficulty of the game increases considerably each round, and you need jedi relexes to beat tyson, so if you dont like losing, discard this game (ill asume you did)

so the two games that remain:

mario 3
zelda 3

your taste is the key here, you like platform games that require below average skills and quick reflexes? go for mario bros 3.
you want complex (for its time) games, with rpg elements, a nice story, lots of action and adventure?
then zelda is the choice.

Indeed I have. Speed run watching is something I do every now and then.

My favorite would be Zelda 2 in like 8 minutes. Or was it 20? Oh well, it was short.

Yeah, I saw that Zelda 2 speed run once. That was insane. Think I might go look up speed run vids now…

The runner utilizes some trick that allows his to move faster than the screen can keep up, so he can kinda go through walls.

Using glitches is not cheating in speed runs, iirc.

anything the game can "provide" you is fine, including glitches.
however, codes (certain button combinations) or the use of foreign software (gameshark, action replay, etc) to alter the game is cheating.

no fun at all to speed run a game where you cant lose.
the purpose of speedruns are to finish the game fast, with the obstacles the game gives you.

thats how i do my speedruns, using glitches and the like, but still "legal".
