What’s your overall impression of FInal fantasy XII’s sequel. Personally, I thought it was all right.
Music: The music was a nice homage to the original version. I liked the speeded up versions of some of them when you went into battle mode.
Gameplay: The gameplay was exceedingly hard to get into at first. Not to mention the typing as well, however once you get deeper into the game it gets easier. I liked how they include espers from the orignal version as well as Espers from previous Final Fantasies
Graphics: The CG graphics were all right if nota bit more cartoony. The regualr graphics looked way too puppy-dog cute(in my opinion) for a Final Fantasy game.
Characters: I liked Vann’s and Pnelo’s role into the story. It felt as though they actually had a purpose this time around. Kytes and Filo were a good addition too. Tomaj, you had to feel sorry for a little bit. And Lyuld was allright too. Baltheir, Fran, Basch, and Ashe were good additions in this story and offered up some plot twists, but I felt as though they appeared a bit too late.
Story: The story to me was very…meh. I liked how they continued the whole thing with the Occuria, not to mention the revisit back to Ivlice was nice. Everything seemed way too quick, not to mention the Final Boss Battle was WAYYYY too easy. I felt as though they could have expanded a lot on some things. And the ending, the ending was also just meh…. It didn’t reveal anything spectauclar.
In conclusion, the original Final Fantasy XII was MILES better above this one.

I agree with you about the original though. It feels as though Square thoughtjust because it comes out on DS, it gives them an excuse to make an ‘OK’ plot.
