The series were not canceled at all. There were just no more mangas to continue the series. It happens a lot in the Anime world. Like in Berserk or full metal Alchemist. New series were produced, because the mangas continued to be issued, or just stopped for a bit of pause……
But they could continue the with a new series, because I have elfen lied in my top, and I realy did not waited to be that good. Teh soundtracks is more then gorgeous.

I know the Manga was finished, so they didn’t run out of Manga, they stopped the Aname with the excuse it was to violent which is bull. I think the story just bothered some people pulling strings upstairs. I understood what they were portraying as far as Powers that be. Anyway I would like to have see more episodes.
