I am probally the only person on this forum who has not posted in this thread. And that is, because I have not played Final Fantasy VII.

Everyone I tell this to is shocked, because of my Final Fantasy obsession. They say things like "WHAT!?" Or "BUT! YOU’RE MIKE!" Things like that….

So, would anyone here judge a Final Fantasy fan for not playing Final Fantasy VII?

I tried, as I found a copy of the game that was bought a looong time ago, but I put the first disc into my PS2, and it doesn’t read.

Then, I looked at the bottom, there was a HUGE crack running from the middle out…

final fantasy X had 3 months since it was released in the US when i first played ff7.
of course, i saw my neighbor play it (he owned it) since day one, but my very first chance was at that time.
but only about 2 years ago that i got myself a copy of it, and lucky me, it was of the very first made copies, it has the MASTERPECE print error.

As far as generalization goes, I disagree. Majority of FFVII fans I’ve met over the internet, and some in RL, talk about VII like nerds talk about Star Trek and Star Wars.

Okay, I don’t consider myself a FFVII fanboy, I enjoyed the game, I don’t think it’s bad, but I don’t obsess over it or call it "TEH BEST GAME EVAR", heck I don’t even think it’s the best FF, that accolade goes to VI, even with it’s cavalclade of glitches.
