What are your thoughts on this? Is it right to call "RACIST" now and ignore the massive white/spanish zombie genocides of the past? Do you feel it was necessary for Capcom to bend to the cries of those offended?
Because it was made by japanese people, and includes characters that kill americans.
Overall I don’t think the game is racist. If you follow the storyline, it makes scene that Chris and Clarie would find the umbrella virus origin in Africa. People claim AIDS was made in a corporate lab and put in Africa after all.

RE is most definitely racist. The glorification of murdering of hundreds (thousands?) of undead and parasite-infested is almost Hitler-esque in scope and unparalleled in bigotry. Another thing–why PETA hasn’t sued Capcom to Silent Hill and back for its treatment of animals is entirely beyond me. I mean, shotgunning puppies? Blowing up a pressurized canister in a crocodile’s mouth? Removing a shark from its water? In fact, I think Capcom is directly responsible for the rampant dogfighting in the southern parts of the US.

Discrimination as unfortunate as it is to say is part of human nature. You’re a different color, have a different sexual preference, or haven’t conformed to stereotypes so it’s impossible to agree to disagree or see eye-to-eye. The truth is that "African-Americans" aren’t alone in their suffering. Everyone falls victim to discrimination no matter the color of their skin, or sexual preference. I’ve done my share of slandering, but then again… who hasn’t? I’ve been called "cracker" numerous times, but I’m not making a big fuss about it. It seems to me that the "African-American" community is making a big fuss over something trivial.
I think that the "African-American" community should get the hell over themselves. The Spaniards didn’t make a fuss about Resident Evil 4. The "American" (Generalizing the white community) haven’t made a fuss about the previous Resident Evil titles.

The majority of them were white, but I’m pretty certain should memory serve me correct that there were several different races running amok eating brains.
