The O.S.T carries the opening and ending themes sung respectively by one of Japan’s favourite seiyuu/J-pop artist Maaya Sakamoto and Sheryl Nome (feat. May’n) the super star in the Macross Frontier Universe.

Aside from having an all star cast working on the vocals, the instrumental background music, scripted by Yoko Kanno, one of the best music producers in the world of anime, are just as much a highlight as the songs.

When do we have to wait for the second Ost?
Well I think the last ep I watched was 14, new ep every Friday and going to be a total of 25 eps for the anime, whether the anime is goes onto another season I do not know. So the answer is dependant on whether in next 11 eps if any new songs are made for the anime to warrent a second ost. If a new ost comes out I will uplaod, will uplaod OP, Ed and Ranka single later.

Comeback? I didn’t know she’d been away…

Obviously there will be AT LEAST one more soundtrack album, whether Frontier makes it to season 2 (unlikely) or not. There is buckets of unreleased music so far, and judging by the rabid sales frenzy they’ve observed with this one, it’s only a matter of time before more is released.

Thankfully there doesn’t seem to be much song translating going on nowadays – so even if the dub is dreadful you’ll at least get decent-ish songs…

@wraith If you do not want to download it, there are a bunch of streams avilable for it on veoh, a Kei subbed version seems to get posted same day the lastest ep airs.

A friend of mine Mei Lin bugged me to watch it awhile back aroudn when 7 eps or so were out. The soundtrack is nice but I personally look foward to Code Geass R2 episodes more than Macross F.

The first singles….

I hate japanese soundtracks cause they’re always missing tracks.
One of the most important key sequences is in episode 10 when Sheryl and Alto share their first kiss.
But the track for that is completely missing on both soundtracks :-/

Look at it this way: American OSTs tend to be missing even more tracks or aren’t even released at all.

We’re screwed either way, but at least the Japanese put a few more tracks on.
