Just replayed FF7, can’t decide whether to play 8 or 9 next.
Give your opinion as well, but no spoilers please! Never finished 8 or 9 before.

FFIX: It has a better storyline, better written characters and the battle system is not fundamentally broken.

Most people will probably say 9. I’m gonna be a bit CRAZY! and say 8. No seriously.

I enjoyed them both but I feel FFIX was a much better game. You could play that next unless you want to save the best til last as they say.

I have played both before, gotten to disc #2 on FF8 and disc #3 on FF9. This was a long time ago, 5 years+ for both. I remember FF8 being really uptight and not light hearted and really sombre and serious. FF9 was action-packed, funny, enjoyable, etc. I have chosen to play FF9 now because of the poll, but I will be sure to check back on FF8… I want to see what all the seriousness was about again. 😛

Oh does it not have one? It’s been a long time, I don’t remember it much except there was flashbacks that happened periodically and you played as someone else or something.

I voted for 9 man. I tried to construct a good argument why, But as soon as I saw the options I said 9 to myself haha. So go with 9.

I guess I’ll just ask here instead of starting a new thread. I just finished my second run of FF X and am eager to play another FF but can’t decide which one. I was thinking about playing XII because I had a file with over 70 hours into it but stopped playing almost two years ago for some odd reason. I was thinking about picking it up from there but I can’t remember anything about the story or the game so it would be better to start.

But I am equally tempted to play any of the others…so after X which one would you play?

Heh, I started to play VI and less than 30 minutes into it decided to play XII instead, have been hooked on it since last week. I am as excited with it as I was the first time I played it.
