I’m thinking about getting both albums but I never played neither, and I’m not familiar with the composers, so I ask anyone here if the music is worth the effort, and if so, which one should I get first. Oh, and those are the Ps2 and Xbox games btw.

I’d go with Shinobi, which is composed by a whole group of people. The soundtrack is fantastic, especially "Fate," "Moritsune," and "Golden Castle." The music is fast-paced, rocking, Japanese-influenced, and a little silly (in a good way).

I would say the first two Ninja Gaiden soundtracks (D28B-0013 and MECG-28004) are better than the one that was most recently released (KWCD-1007), which is of course, the one you’re looking to get. The most recent Shinobi soundtrack (STF-0010), which is the one you’re interested in, is slightly better than the first and only other official Shinobi soundtrack (25A2-530).

With that said, I’d take the Shinobi Original Soundtrack before the Ninja Gaiden Original Sound Trax.
