Did you ever came up with the soundtrack of the REAL sequel of the Japanese Ring?
Originally it was RASEN the sequel, but since it was not very well accepted in japan in the same year they filmed Ring 2.
The soundtrack is Yoshihiro Ike.

The movie was good, at least in my opinion. Ringu 2 has, in my opinion, the best horror movie soundtrack ever made by Kenji Kawai. ^^
I would buy that soundtrack, and I’m still planing to biy it :p

I don’t know which is more creepier sounding. The first ring soundtrack or the second. I love them both, but I might have a certain tendency to Ringu 2. Some of the tracks of ringu 2 don’t even appear in the movie. :/ I consider this cd an Image Album + Soundtrack Album.

The first is also creepy. I remember the first I heard it, it was night in my room, and I was feeling she would burst out of TV from kitchen and appear right at my bedroom door. Seriously. This was the impact it gave me. 0.0..
The second one, I think it has much more kind of magic. Thus being perhaps my favorite horror soundtrack of Kenji Kawai, together with Dark Waters.

I didn’t know Kenji Kawai before I saw Ringu 2. Now I’m ready to discover other works from this talented composer.
