Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exxodus

These two games are still two of my all-time favorites. They were, are, both so incredibly fun and original, and I never get tired of playing them. I haven’t tried the other entries in the Oddworld saga, but they can hardly be as great as these two games.

Never tried them, but I was interested in Stranger’s Wrath.

I only played both Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exoddus, and I think these games are very great ! But I never played the others (Munch Oddysee and Stranger’s Wrath), because I don’t own a XBox. But I am sure these ones aren’t as good as Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exoddus.

Also, noskillbasist, are you sure that a new game for the series "Oddworld" is in development ? I already heard rumours about a 5th game for the series, but it was later cancelled. I can’t remeber its name, but I know it was set for release on PS2.

The people behind Oddworld said from the start that there were going to be five games, so there is only one more game to go. I hate how they switched from Playstation to XboX, so suffice to say that I was somewhat disappointed when Munch was released. 🙁

The only thing I’m disappointed about is they didn’t make Stranger’s Wrath part of the BC list for 360!

Okay, I found an information on the Web about this 5th game, but who are the developpers for this next game ?

I haven’t played Munch’s Oddysey but I love the first two and I won’t ever sell them. They are one of the best platformers today and for its time.

While we’re on the subject, I’ve been meaning to ask this for ages but didn’t want to raise a thread over it. On Abe’s Oddyssey, some of the levers you need to pull to rescue Mudokons simply do not appear. Especially the one at the end of the game where you drop down and transform into a Scrab (killing all the Glukkons in the background). I can’t pull the lever because it doesn’t exist and I have no other escape route. I’m just left to wait for inevitable death and reloading has no effect. Has anybody else experienced this? It’s like a glitch but one that happens each time.

awesome games, the first two at least, haven’t played the rest yet ;3

i heard before that abe’s exodus was not technically part of the quintology, so that would mean there should be at least one more game following the one that is in development, but i dont know if they changed their minds about that in the intervening years. not bitter about them switching formats though it is awkward, shrug! hope the new one is as good as all of the rest are purported to be

Oh my god I loved Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus! I’m playing Oddysee right now and so far it’s great too. They are so fun to play 😀
