eveyrthing i ahve tryed so fair in thsi game has failed the Malboro bad breaths till dose its full damage so whats the ejst juction def. agesnt its bad breath ?

junction 100 of all status magic that prevents you from controlling your characters. Do this to at least one person. If you only do it to one person, make sure that the person is able to use Treatment or has access to items.

Remember, silence does not prevent a person from using Treatment.

So, for Status Def-J, I would junction Confuse, Berserk, Sleep, and Stop (in order of importance).

thanks the alst time i played this iw as useing pain reflect and esurna as the primay def ( the fris titme i played theough ) and it worked fine but this time its not working at all

Well thats because you only had about 50% chance of avoiding all the nasty status effects. What you want the most when fighting Marlboros is character control.

Where does one get Pain?

You can draw Pain from Elnoyle at Esthar when you’re at a high level. If you have trouble finding him, let me know. I think you can draw from Tri-face too – found on the the ‘Island Closest to Heaven’. There are also a couple hidden across the map (maybe 3 at most).

Dollet – Hasberry Plains, its where the satellite dish/antenna is, on a hill above
Dollet City, methinks in disc 4. Also Centra ruins near the statues in Laguna’s part of the game.

Pain spells are kind of rukus to locate. You can refine Curse Spikes. 1 will give you 2 or 5 Pains methinks. Or, draw them from Elnoyles, looks like a red everlolet, in random battles in Esthar after lunar cry.

Unless you want to steal from them, forget Pain, just use Quistis’ Degenerator = instant win, and you get a ton of Malboro Tentacles (I’m guessing you’re trying to get Doomtrain? If not, still).

Use Quetzacotl’s Card Mod to mod a Gesper card, those are really common and among the low level cards.

ok i need some mroe help i am trying to get the 4X s-Def-J and right now i have the quistis card now a few people say i can refine this in to the 4X s-Def-J but so fair i haveint gotten it to work so how do i get this done ?? if you guys dont ind helping me again

I think you need the doomtrain card to refine into stat-def x4.
Odin, quistis+degenerator+initiative, are the only ways I’ve ever beaten a malboro.

i wish i coudl egt mug to work when i frist attack to becuase i would just do what i do to red dragons mug then run ( sorry red dragon`s breath kills me off to a game over every time )
