What one song would you choose as a jRPG boss battle theme, and what one song you you choose for an anime opening? For example: for battle music, I’d choose "Body Breakdown" by Dragonforce. It just sounds so much like a Nobuo Uematsu rock battle theme. My anime opening would be "Am I Awake?" by They Might be Giants. Most of their music wouldn’t work, but this one just has a disjointed, ethereal feel that fits perfectly to something like Death Note.
