I’m not sure if I should buy this game because I don’t know alot about it.
I went to the FFXI website but got no info on how big the community is and if you are able to fight other players (not just computer enemies)
I have watched the game live several times but it did not look like it had many players….
can anybody answer these for me?

There’s some PVP in FFXI in the form of battle events like Ballista and Brenner. Unlike WoW however, you can’t fight someone anywhere any time, it’s all done on a timetable.
Every other team event is cooperative play.
