A very odd mash up. We’ll see how it turns out.
That’d be funny if Jessica Rabbit wore blue gloves, but since she doesn’t you fail.
I can’t help but think why it has to be Mortal Kombat, of all franchises, that gets to go up against the DC universe. I would much rather have seen a better series (i.e. Marvel Super Heroes, KOF, SF Alpha, Real Bout FF, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, DOA).
He has a point though, what is it with those gloves? =\
still funny though. lol
qft. A lot of MK players were probably expecting to see the fatalities return again in this game. But it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Sub-Zero freeze the Joker and smash him to bloody pieces, or see Sonya turn Wonder Woman into a baby and dropkick her into a pit of lava.

If you find MK "complicated" what fighting game would satisfy your easy taste?
Bordering on trolling.
It’s mainly because there are much more complicated fighters like… Virtua Fighter and Tekken, so I wanted his opinion on what he found not complicated. I figured he’d give me something like Smash Bros. or DBZ: Budokai.
You jackass.
Mortal Kombat became more and more complicated over time, and I understood what he meant even if he didn’t specify a game. There are games like Soul Calibur and DOA, that while not as simple as DBZ or Smash games, are intuitive enough for anybody to just pick up and play without having to learn every character’s moves. Most of the control schemes are the same for every fighter so it’s only a matter of adjusting your play style for each characters rather than learn a series of complicated move sequences.
In essence, those kind of games are simple enough for everybody to play, while having their fair share of complexity for the more dedicated players who wish to max out their experience of the games.
What I mean by that is in Smash Bros. for instance, a newbie has a chance to beat a skilled player based on the simplistic button and command layout. Now take a newbie and pit them against a skilled player in DOA or SC and that chance is drastically reduced.
As a side note, I don’t know why but I prefer SC to DOA. >_>
There are the occasional rotations thown in, but the overall control method is simple enough for anyone, in comparison to games like Virtua Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.
And I wanted to say pretty much what Hynad said already, but I decided not to because even if I did, nothing would’ve changed anyways.
I’ve still always felt MK to be near the bottom of the technical chain in fighters. Doesn’t mean it’s not fun, it’s just not as technical as others.
Isn’t Street Fighter the same usually for every character?
IDX: Really? I always have more trouble with Tekken than with MK. Then again the last Tekken I played was Tekken 3, so yeah…

According to the people I was playing against at this arcade when I was I think 10 or 11 years old, I was a Tekken prodigy. I was taking on everyone to the point where a huge circle was around us. So people in their 20’s and of all shape and sizes (including their mouths to the point where my dad said that’s my son so watch your mouth) were challenging me and one by one, they all went down. I was just thinking, "Hm, this games not that hard." I didn’t really start getting into Tekken until Tag, which is the one I was extremely good at apparently because everytime, I was just picking different people.
I love playing UMK3 because it’s my favorite of all the ones so far. Pretty simple if you ask me and very fun. Then I played DA and I was like WTF!? BACK BACK A DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE?? The only thing about that game (or was it Deception?) that I liked was "Cooking (or Baking) with Scorpion". I laugh so hard every time I see it. Scorpion winking is the funniest thing lol!
But seriously, I never really thought of Tekken being complicated. It was just the newer MK titles that were to me. Any other fighting game I’ve played isn’t nearly as hard. I think MK4 was the easiest because you could just do the same combo for each character.
:p
also. i heard Image and KI are making a game now too. lol
spawn vs fulgore zomg!
