w/RARE ITEM ability receive as a battle prize or w/LVL DOWN ability from
Tonberry Level him down between 1-10 and receive it as a battle prize.
Pulse Ammo (Lunatic Pandora)- Elnoyle w/LVL UP ability from Tonberry level him
up 50 to 60 and receive it as a prize w/RARE ITEM ability receive Energy Crystal
and then change it to a 12 Pulse Ammo, or change Lazer Cannon 5

Of Squall’s 4 finishing moves, he has 25% chance of using any one of them.
If he hasn’t learned the move, but it was chosen, he uses the highest one he is able to do.
So, when you have lionheart weapon, you have 1/4 chance of finishing with lionheart.
Rinoa, however, has a limit break based on Crisis Level. Crisis Level depends on the level of the character, the remaining hp, any negative buffs placed on the character, etc.
The higher crisis level Rinoa is at, the more likely she’ll use the more powerful limitbreaks (i.e. invincible moon and wishing star)

To answer your question, Ngrplz, you do not need to have any of the magazines to upgrade any of the weapons. As long as you have the parts, you will have that option in the weapon shops.
Similarly, you do not need any of the Combat Kings to execute Zell’s special moves. You simply need to know when to press the appropriate buttons.
Make sure Squall doesn’t try to grope Selphie or Rinoa will get mad and start torturing her.
