Can I ask a question? I don’t understand what this new Dirty Pair Flash is about? I loved the old Dirty Pair series and the style of the art, but I don’t understand why they look so much younger in flash and don’t get the storyline, is it supposed to be continued from the old Dirty Pair, or a "re-envisioning" or what? Please clue me in.

Heh, I guess my ears must be broken. I can very rarely tell the difference between MP3 and lossless sound files in terms of quality. I prefer MP3s because they actually are compatible with my -MP3 player- and I don’t even have to convert! Also, they’re smaller files, so I don’t have to worry about room on my computer (one day, since my computer has quite a bit more hard drive space this time around than the previous ones I have had).

Just be happy you can listen at all lol!

Ok, hopefully you’ll be more lucky then me if you’re gonna search for Dirty Pair Flash stuff, and most likely it will NOT be easy to find.
I just did a fair amount of link searching for Flash OST3 and came up only with some dead links for OP and ED singles, nothing for complete OSTs.
Where ever Orie got those obscure 128kbps rips from a long time ago – that source must be long gone by now. And apparently nothing better had been posted on the web, at least not for the OSTs 1,2,3.

Gotcha, while you’re right Dirty Pair Flash being the second series it is still technically considered an OVA, which consists of 3 parts: Mission I,II,III with 6,5,5 episodes for each part respectively. Hence I had to make sure which OVAs are we talking about.

There’s one unreleased track in the Project Eden film I like a bit. In the film, it starts around 00:50:00 and is a ~2min orchestral track. Be aware it has SFX.

ANN/ IMDB is wrong. Kenzou Shiguma just produced the album. I added info of the soundtrack cd on VGMDB. Orchestral pieces were all done by Takashi Shoji, but arranged by Hiromot Tobisawa or Kenzou Shiguma.
"Love Theme From Dirty Pair" is recicled from….-> Wait And See (Love Theme From Abunai Deka), which was by composed by Kenzou Shiguma, but Takashi Shoji used some of his little compositions on that song.
Kenzou Shiguma did not worked on teh soundtrack of that Gundam, just the vocal Opening and Ending themes.
Also, Anime News Network is not that 100& Reliable.
It says there Dirty Pair Flash (OVA 1) themusic is Megumi Wakakusa, which is wrong, it is Kei Wakakusa, and They based that info on the ADV Subbed VHS/ DVD releases.
Bunr Up Scramble, it says there, the music is Kazuo Nobuta and Toshihiko Sahashi. Wrong again. Toshihiko Sahashi only made the opening theme, the rest of the soundtrack is all by the other guy.
I have come up with some horrible flaws in there, as it seems no one verifies that submited info. lack of prefessionalism, in my opinion.

That’s for the "Project E.D.E.N." soundtrack and the information about the "Love Theme". Wouldn’t have even thought about connecting it to the "Wait And See" song. After listening to that one just now and then the instrumental, it’s definitely the same.

Update: I thought that song’s music was very familiar. Both the "Love Theme", "If I Turn" and the "Wait And See" songs from the "Abunai Deka TV Series" soundtrack are all variations of the David Foster’s song "For Just A Moment" from the 1985 movie, "St. Elmo’s Fire".

The soundtrack of the Flight 005 Conspiracy (which is the cd called DIRTY PAIR no Dai Ren’ai ~LOVE SONGS~) is really on of my favorite albums. The second track "What do you want?" sung by Yuusuke Nakamura is great. 😀

Thanks for the recommendation, though I mainly collect 80s soundtracks, of which I have hundreds from 80 to 89. You name a movie soundtrack from the 80s and I more than likely have it, as long as it isn’t purely score or instrumental (I do have a bunch of them for films I love the music from, but it would be totally insane to collect every score-only soundtrack released). I do add score tracks to vocal soundtracks to beef them up into extended editions. Right now, I have 510 complete officially released and/or extended versions (containing all of the songs heard in the films and in play order), 60 officially complete but no fully extended and 55 incomplete (mainly for soundtracks that never had official releases). Lately I’ve been adding in great Japanime releases that have English vocal tracks mixed in with the excellent Japanese songs and scores. So it was awesome to get the superb "Project E.D.E.N." soundtrack again. Totally forgot how excellent it was. Not a bad song in the whole thing.

Re-upload some more. 🙂
Dirty Pair Flash is set in a complete differetnt storyline and … well… time XD
The soundtracks are really incredible sweets of big nostalgia for me. Specially Jun’ichi Kaznezaki, inthe aspect that he composes jazz and blues mixed with rock and symphonic strings.
But… The first OVA is much more memorable in music. The Opening theme, being heavy rock, which is a bit a my face :p, was something I never waited for an anime to have. I mean, being used to such J-pop typical style, this was very refreshing at the time. 🙂
But, the soundtrack….. is so incredibly "breath taker". Kei Wakakusa did a damn wonderfull work in here. This has been one of the soundtracks I hear the most, in my list. For orchestral lovers, this is The THING for you all. All tracks he composed are so epic, but I have a special love for "LOVELY ANGELS". That is the track I just die for, hearing it for 7 minutes long and repeating it. *.*
The vocal and drama album, is really cool, if you understand japanese. I love to hear the drama tracks, and vocal songs are very good too. But I love Rica Matsumoto voice too much. XD
The soundtrack for the second season, Dirty Pair Flash2, is, in a way, very Jun’ichi Kanezaki. Although it says that Jun’ichi Kanzaki and Hajime Mizoguchi worked together in here, I feel less hajime vibe and MUCH more Kanezaki vibe. Either way, teh soundtrack is gorgeous. and fro me the epic track in here is "Blowin’away" which is an arranged soundtrack version from the song "Carry On" sung originally by Rica Matsumoto. This track is like very balanced in the Saxophone and in the Strings. The Kick Ass track I put together with Kei Wakakusa’s "LOVELY ANGELS"

The music of Dirty Pair is always worth the listening experience. I was retagging and submitting the infos in VGMDB and listening to it. ^_^
It is so sad that the OVAs never head a propper soundtrack release 🙁
The soundtrack of the Flight 005 Conspiracy (which is the cd called DIRTY PAIR no Dai Ren’ai ~LOVE SONGS~) is really on of my favorite albums. The second track "What do you want?" sung by Yuusuke Nakamura is great. 😀

Not being elitist, but theres a noticeable difference between a lossless and an encoded ‘112KB/s CBR stereo’ track for almost everyone I guess.

it’s okay… honestly.. quality doesn’t bother me with older releases… it’s nostalgic to when i was a kid listening to things off my cassette tapes/records. in fact…i still use records and tapes. if i really need crystal clear audio than i’d just buy it.

Dirty Pair Flash3 soundtrack credits Junko Miyagi as all composer & arranged, which is a lie. When the error was noticed it was too late. When the booklet was being made, someone forgot to credit Jun’ichi Kanezaki. This did provoke a lot of trouble between the composer and the "lame" production and supervision of the booklet design.
I am sucker for Kanezaki, so yeah, I tagged the files properly with who is the real artists, though I did ask confirmation and the composer was kind enough to direct me on that.
Have fun with the soundtrack. 😉

By the way. Now I can say this.
Each soundtrack has a very, let say, epic track for me, that fills my heart.
Dirty Pair Flash -> "LOVELY ANGELS (A-6, M-13, M-28, M-21, M-30)"
Dirty Pair Flash2 -> "Blowin’away", a sound track arrange of my favorite vocal song of DPF, "Carry On", found on Rica Matsumoto single. ^^
Dirty Pair Flash3 -> Honou no WWWA, it was love at first hearing process. Jesus, I can’t tell you guys how much this song pierces my heart with the guitars and synths.

If they want lossless, let them buy themselves the cds. Plus, the thread shows only mp3, it is there, written what the download is. Why complain, and not kindly ask?
It’s people like this that make not share lossless at all. I only shared lossless so far of my cybe city oedo cd and gowcaizer anime ova ost because I decided to do it as they are freaking damn rare cds, so yeah, flac for everyone while you can get it. I am not that mp3 asshole as these bitches make me look. Of course, I am already waiting for complains and insults about my flac rips, because the moment I shared flac of my silent mobious best of, you people don’t believe how many pms I got because I HAD to rip with cue and log shit, and that I am bad sharer, and that or I share flac with cue and log, or I don’t share at all. What is so difficult to be thankful for?
the "STEREO DRAMA DIRTY PAIR FLASH VOL.1" is hyper rare, and someone got that for me. I had to ask if the person would not mind if I shared it here. It’s mp3 128 kbps? so what? it’s best you will get.
some of drama cds of shadow skill are in 96kbps. That is the best you can get until someone really buys the drama cds and offers a better rip.
I will not share my vinil rips in here as I know assholes will pop out, because my lp player has a usb recording function and records ONLY in mp3 128. I am sorry I am not rich like most of these guys to have a library of hard drives fro their cherished flac and have super power stuff to rip vinils audio in super high quality.
I think I was born with a hearing problem because I HEAR not difference between mp3 and flac, sorry I just don’t. and I am not going buy expensive products to enjoy the music the same as you, as I already enjoy the music in mp3. And I offer the best mp3 quality when I can. 320 cbr quality is an urban legend, it’s not good quality… do these people even now how mp3 sound streaming works? I don’t think so!

Kei Wakakusa work is indeed my favorite and the best. The rest… like I said… I’m a sucker for Kanezaki style 😀 His tracks are the best for me.

Kei Wakakusa is his brilliant self in DPF1. He makes good use of brass and lush strings in many tracks. The synth sounds great, too! Junichi Kanezaki continues to surprise me; I think I detect a little bit of Michiaki Watanabe-channeling in some of those jazzy action tracks. Pretty awesome stuff. You and I seem to have similar tastes in music.

I’m aware that what I’m about to ask has been "answered" already, so to speak…but the answer turned out to be wrong and I didn’t get any further clarification on this so I’ll ask again.

At some point, it appears that a full karaoke version of the Dirty Pair TV OP was released (not those shitty instrumental versions that can be found on NicoNico…I’m talking about the actual song itself but without the vocals). The full karaoke version is on YT but I’m not satisfied with how low-quality it sounds, so I’ve been trying to locate for whatever album the karaoke version was included in so I could buy it myself and rip it.

Unfortunately, I’ve been unsuccessful in trying to find out where it was released and if a full karaoke version of the ED was released as well. Orie says the karaoke versions were in the Natsukashi CD release of the Dirty Pair OST but they’re not in there at all…

Any help?
