Desert Palace question.

Hey guys, quick question. I am in the desert palace, directly after the Ark battle, and am kinda stuck. Walking down the first path going to light that first candlestick, Zidane has the exclamation point over his head, but mashing "S" (Im emulating it on a PC) won’t do anything, and im wondering. Does that candlestick need to be lit to light the three torches in the upper level? Or do I NEED to light it, and if so how do i get it to light?

iirc, all candles need to be lit. Doesn’t matter if you want the item you can get or not, all candles need to be lit to get to the next path.

Or maybe try pressing other buttons than the s button? 😀

the only other button that can classify as "ok" is the square key, and that is "A" . Unfortunately mashing A there too doesnt help. Im getting really frustrated and hoping that this part of the disk isnt screwed up. *sigh*

Yeah, I’m no expert on emulated games. :[ But if the S button’s supposed to be the X button for playstation, it’d be odd if it’s suddenly another button.

i figured out the problem. When i had to gameshark to beat ark (kinda didnt bother leveling zidane or anyone) it left the party as Zidane, Vivi, Dagger, and Steiner. so i saved, turned it off, and BOOM.
