I really like songs that incorporate classical Asian instruments. They can be modern or not, I just like the sound of them.

The VM Japan Original Soundtrack (NW10102500) is a modern, Asian instrumental soundtrack that’s very good. Given your examples, I believe that soundtrack will meet your expectations quite nicely. I prefer it more than the Okami Original Soundtrack, which revolves mostly around Japanese instruments and receives a ton of praise, though in a more traditional fashion. Another soundtrack that might be worth your while is the Shinobi Original Sountrack (STF-0010), which also has a modern feel to it as well. Other game soundtracks that contain mostly Asian instruments would include any Samurai Spirits soundtrack, any Tenchu soundtrack, and any Bakumatsu Roman soundtrack.
