Another obscure soundtrack, this is a direct rip from the game disc of Black Dawn, a helicopter shooter from 1997 which was released on Sega Saturn and Playstation. The game was ok (a 3D helicopter arcade shooter, essentially), and the story had some amusing, ultra right-wing overtones, but the music was pretty elaborate in its scope, certainly for its time.
Black Dawn’s soundtrack was written by Todd Dennis, and has a fairly cinematic, militaristic feel to it. It wouldn’t be out of place on a film like Blue Thunder, or any 80s action movie for that matter. The odd (and cheesy) electric guitar does pop up, but for the most part, the music is all orchestral.
