Any programs that can cut music?

Well, I didn’t know where to ask this, so I’m asking this question here. I’m wondering if anyone knows of any programs that can edit and cut parts of a music track. I’d really like to know if there any programs that can do this, because there are certain parts of some music that I love hearing over and over again.

I do a lot of cutting and pasting with music in order to loop music longer or do other variations. I use Easy CD-DA to convert the music file to a WAV. Then I use Nero Wave Editor to do my work. The Wave Editor comes with most Nero Burning programs. Hope that helps you.

I second that..it’s free and works super..that’s all you can ask for..

audacity is good, so is Cool Edit, as well as GoldWave. those 3 programs are the usual candidates for audio editing.

Sound Forge, i say its the easiest audio editor of all now.

Adobe Audition but it is expensive (lol). But Audacity may be the best choice as freeware.

Audacity is good. It’s free and that makes it worthwhile.

If you ever want to buy something commercial, I highly recommend Sony Acid Music Studio. I use that for all of my cutting projects, especially for ringtones. That’s if you want to go commercial. It’s like $90 where I am, so I’d stick with Audacity just for the whole "free" part, but SAMS is recommended, too.
