As for the three girls, the burnt one is the Alessa who is alive in the ICU, and the other one is a metaphysical form of her, I’m not sure about Sharon though. I know in the game that Cheryl was an incarnation or something of Alessa, however it’s been a while since I saw the movie, I think Sharon and Alessa just looked alike iirc.
For the monsters, it seems the movie stayed true to some degree with the original Silent Hill. In SH1, during the daylight (normal world) there were one type of certain monsters (flying pterodactyl-like creatures, dogs, etc.) In the alternate version there are warped and even to some degree totally different monsters in the alternate Silent Hill.
I’m not sure what the time difference between Rose and Christopher was, I don’t recall an approx guess (i.e. 1-10 years). I figured that they were at least separated by a few weeks or even a month, topped by an alternate world as well. The fog was there when Chris was sleeping on the couch in his world, and when Rose and Sharon returned (presumabely to a different world) the fog wasn’t there. I guess the idea that the two are split between a portal doesn’t help much either 😛
