Its a total shame that the company who licensed the anime isn’t releasing the soundtrack as well. I’d like to be able to buy this without paying crazy import fees.

FUNimation never licenses soundtracks. I believe the question was asked to them last year and they pointed at what happened to Geneon as an example why FUNi isn’t getting involved in the soundtrack business.

Yeah but geneon released WAY too many. I mean its a no brainer to release a soundtrack to Romeo X Juliet just like its a no brainer to release the soundtracks to Code Geass and Tsubasa Chronicles. They need to be more selective in the ones they release and they would do fine.

FUNimation basically is wary of what happened to Geneon like the rest of the industry. Granted, FUNi is getting ambitious what with them creating an original content division. It’s likely we’ll see soundtrack releases from THAT and maybe that’ll start a soundtrack division that’ll include stuff like Tsubasa and RXJ.

Incidentally, Code Geass’ first two OSTs HAVE been released by Bandai but they’re only available in special edition boxes that contain nine episodes of the series apiece + a T-shirt.

I could see them licensing Eden of the East’s soundtrack for example, especially if they fork over the money to license "Falling Down".

Yeah then those bastards at Bandai didn’t make the second series soundtracks available 🙁
