Come back much later (like in disc 3, after the Ragnorok), to see a really neat scene. 1. No I don’t think you can go back to it sorry, I think you permanently missed it. Don’t worry, it’s just an entry in Selphie’s diary and as far as I know you don’t get anything special for getting all of them besides the pleasure of reading it. Did you get the Shiva card though? That’s also missable and you don’t want to miss that.
2. This is true, the first time I played I thought I was done after the Phoenix Pinion, but you’re not. I forget exactly what you have to do though but IIRC you don’t have to really wait. But I think to trigger it you have to exit to the map and reenter Shumi Village and then you can go on. I forget how and haven’t got the book with me ATM.
But I’ve got another question.. I recently just finished the QoC quest and I’m just wondering where is the queen… She said she would go to Balamb, but couldn’t find her..
And I also have a PC Version glitch… For some reason after I receive a bitebug/gayla card, then I enter or exit somewhere these cards disappear…
Like this happened..
I won like 10 bitebugs and 4 gayla cardsfrom QoC. Then I check my inventory they’re still there. Then I rode my Ragnarok to Dollet and I checked my inventory, and all the bitebug cards and the gayla cards I won all disappeared just like you never got them before… Then I faced QoC and I won like 3 bitebug and 2 gayla cards and when I checked back in my inventory, I had 13 bitebug cards and 2 gayla cards… When I went back to Balamb, I checked my inventory again and the bitebug and the gayla cards are all gone just like you’ve never earned them before. So basically whenever I only earn the bitebug card and it ride of Ragnarok to somewhere, the amount of bitebugs I’ve earned just now will add to the amount I’ve had before, and the gayla cards, no matter how much I earn, in the end when I ride my Ragnarok to somewhere, I will lose all of it. So whenever I ride my Ragnarok with these 2 cards they disappear and the bitebug will have what how many cards it had just like invisible and the gayla will all reset each time I ride it.

I am looking at my cards at the entrance to Balamb and about to get on my Ragnarok.

I got on the Ragnarok and came back down and looked at my cards.

In the first link I had 8 bitebugs cards but I won one from Qoc which I now have 9 bitebugs and 2 gayla cards which I also just won means I have 2 gayla cards which is 151 monster cards and 281 cards in total.
In the second link after I got off the Ragnarok I completely lost all of my bitebugs and gayla cards which totals 140 monster cards and 470 cards.
So does anyone know what is going on and how to prevent/fix it? Thanks.
Ok, one more question, its on the Obel Lake thing… Ok, I spoke with the shadow, then to the monkey, and the back to the shadow… the thing is this.. he has only said these things to me..
Take a break at the railroad bridge.
At the beach in Balamb, something special washes ashore at times.
Take some time off at Eldbeak Peninsula.
There’s also something on top of a mountain with a lake and cavern.
So I’ve found one by hitting the monkey and one by skipping rocks… But I can’t find the one in Timber why? Is it because he didnt say that one was in Timber, because I’ve spoke with him for like 10 minutes but he hasn’t mentioned anything about Timber… So in order to complete the quest must I have him speak about it then i can go find it?
