Just Your Typical Favourite Character Thread

With the release of Crisis Core tomorrow, I just wanted to get a head start on this topic. :3

My PSP was stepped on by a family member, so my chance of playing it anytime soon is shot, but I’ve watched all of the subbed cutscenes, and my favourite remains to be Angeal, though Zack and Kunsel [ I think that’s going to remain his name? I don’t know what they’re changing it to for the English. Kansel? Cancel? Kanser?] are close seconds.

That game made me cry. D: Several times. Bloody thing.

Cait Sith by far remains to be my favorite. However, not Aeris. Nope, no! I am sure that De Grande Freak will pop in and fill that void though.

After playing through quite a bit of the game, I would have to say Sephiroth is really my favorite. It’s odd to see him as a good guy, and someone that has normal human emotions (angeal and genesis were both his good friends) and his voice actor did good work.

Also Kunsel’s name is still the same in the English version. And it’s Aerith.

I did like seeing this different side of Sephiroth, and all the better it’s not in some crappy fanfiction or something. Bleh. <3

The friendship between Angeal, Genesis, and Sephiroth is something I find very interesting, and… well. It’ll be fufilling the wet dreams of rabid yaoi fangirls everywhere. [Disclaimer: No, I don’t mind yaoi. xD! Go at it, fangirls. Just don’t drag me into your crazy shit, okay? I’ll stick with my homosexual thoughts to myself. :3 ]

Genesis was totally lame. Whenever he shows up I know my ears are gonna have to listen to some poetic nonsense from the oh so aWEsome "Loveless" story.

I liked Sephiroth in this…he was not yet a psychopath and like how his backstory unfolded. Same with Zack…altho I wish he would stop crying out for "ANGEAL!" all the time.

Well now that I think about it. I’ll go with Zack…because he is the tragic hero afterall.

Genesis was OK, though I agree to a point that his LOVELESS banter got kind of annoying. This is the only game where I think new characters actually helped progress the storyline, and none of them were downright bad. But there’s no doubt in my mind that Zack Fair will, and always will be, one of my favorite characters in FF7.
