im a new guy looking for someone to clear something up

ok, here’s my problem…i just finished playing ff7 and 8 for the first time so i decided i’d try and see if i can get one of the older games…the only problem is..i cant remember wich ff my friend was telling me about…its the one where they introduce gilgamesh…anyone out there know wich it is? and is this a good game at all other then having him in it?

Just play them all, you won’t regret it.

Oh and don’t listen if Knegative says "FF2 is shite" because I think he’s just bitter he can’t beat it. =P

lol, well thats the problem…i dont have a psp to play them all..lol. otherwise i probably wouldve played them all by now…i actually got into the series about a year and a half ago so i got into it after everyone in the world already beat ’em all and decided wich ones they like and dont..lol…personally i loved both 7 and 8 though..those are the only 2 ive played so far…unless u count doc, i havent gotten to play any of the other games in the compilation cuz i either dont have a phone that i can play cc on and i dont have a psp..so i still wont be able to play it..lol

I believe it’s Final Fantasy V that introduced Gilgamesh, unless they made additions to the recent slew of FF remakes such as FFI-IV. You don’t necessarily need a PSP to play any of these unless you’re looking to play it for all of the added content (i.e. newer dungeons, & bosses) which doesn’t necessarily make the game any better than before.

Not to mention the remakes of FF1 have a dumb down difficulty.

Just snag Final Fantasy Anthology and Final Fantasy Chronicles on the PS1. You’ll get FFIV-VI and Chrono Trigger.

Since we’re sorta talking about epic games here I may as well mention "Xenogears", an obvious choice for PSX rpg gamers 😀

lol..u know its amazing..i spent over 600 dollors on a brand new system…and im worried about psx games to get for it….lol, irony i guess, and yes according the wiki it was v that introduced gilgamesh…and from what i read on there he seems to be the only reacurring character that seems to be the same or close to in all the following ff’s with the exception of 7 cuz he deffinatly wasnt in there…i played that thing 12 times i woulda seen him.

It’s NOT Final Fantasy.

It’a a separate RPG made by Square-Enix (then Squaresoft) for the SNES. It’s highly regarded as one of the best RPGs ever right alongside FFVI. I never really saw what was so great about it though, doesn’t compare to Secret of Mana, IMO.
