Do you think that some of us (Shriners) or any FF fans, can own a greatest oppotunity to work in Square Enix (especially be a part of FF project)

Most of us American shriners are more likely to join that than be hired by Nomura as Prak said.

I will work there! I`m working hard all day and I study as much 3D modelling stuff as possible, besides I started taking Japanese studies last winter.

There is a surplus of people wanting to work in the gaming industry, and Japan certainly has more than enough already to cover its own needs, so the chance of a distinctly Japanese company hiring a westerner to work on its games is ridiculously low. You are wasting your time and energy on something completely hopeless.

Now that I’ve said that, if you do not heed my warning and re-assess your future plans, I will enjoy a hearty laugh as your dreams are brutally crushed by the reality you’re trying so hard to push away. Of course, I know that you are a hopeless idiot, so I fully expect to be amused.

I know that my future plans are next to impossible, but it doesn`t matter. I want any kind of job in gaming industry, so even if I fail trying to get into S-E I`ll have plenty of work elsewhere.
Besides my mother died when I was four years old, so she has nothing to do with it.
Prak, you can laugh now, if it only makes you feel better.

I think chances would be better for a Westerner to work for a UK based gaming company than it is for a Japanese one, though not by much. You’d probably have a better shot at getting your own game made if you wrote a good fantasy/sci-fi novel that the Japanese picked up and actually liked, and maybe decided to make a videogame out of it, other than that I really don’t see it happening sorry to be so pesimistic. Besides, I outgrew my little fantasy of working for Squaresoft way back in the day, like say around the time I entered Jr. High School.

I agree with Prak about Japanese’s kind of nationalism.

Well, I wish Finaru that you can make your goal come true, I know it’s hard.

If you ask me… I really REALLY wish to work there too, as storyboard – script and designing worker. (Well, just worker is find…I don’t have high expectation like being head). As Phirk says…. maybe you’re right.
