Hello everyone! I’m new to FFS forums and just want to say I feel great being in the company of fellow gamers (and non-gamers..?) who appreciate VGM and the effort that goes into making it. Everyone has their favorite OST but I have to say I have too many to narrow down, but here’s a list:

FFVII – One of the best VG soundtracks ever produced. Uematsu is the John Williams of VG Music. A true masterpiece
Castlevania: SotN – Incredible soundtrack by Michiru Yamane. Did she do Super Castlevania IV’s soundtrack?
Megaman 1-6 NES – amazing quality and way ahead of its time
Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha – Stronger and Spinning Bird in particular are excellent
FFX – Another excellent OST
Bust a Groove (US) – catchy songs from a fun game
Metriod III, Metroid Prime
Parappa the Rapper – I can’t think of anyone who didn’t like the music here. Especially since you can go freestyle with Parappa
Star Wars Galaxies – Master Musician gave you a bunch of music to play around with and all of it was good, especially with a friend joining in!
Secret of Mana
Crono Trigger, Chrono Cross
Xenogears
Final Fantasy Tactics

Here’s to all my fellow VGM lovers! 😀

*P.S. Going to update my list as I think of new ones so I dont keep replying to my own thread. 😛

Ya know I did and I really liked the game and the music but the music never really seemed to stick to me. I’d give the soundtrack another listen for sure, though. Hey anyone else out there have recommendations based on my favorites?

I had the FFX soundtrack CD a few years ago. I lost it. Sigh. 🙁
Ok well theres so many vg tracks I can name I just seem to go blank when it comes time to post them on here lol. But one that comes to mind is the Metroid III soundtrack. Oh and the first Metroid Prime soundtrack was awesome!

I found FFX’s soundtrack to be… average. There were only a few tracks that really stood out (mainly, the one titled "Truth Revealed" and the Ending Theme).

I’m right there with ya on FFVII and SotN, though. And Bombman’s stage is still one of the greatest songs ever.
